Bangkok,Thailand - The MOU signing ceremony between PTT Public Company Limited and Green Aranya Company Limited was held on March 6, 2026, at Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao hotel
The ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished executives and officials including Mr. Jaturong Worawitsurawatthana, Senior Executive Vice President, International Trading Business Unit, PTT Public Company Limited, Mr. Kajorn Rungsalit, Executive Vice President International Trading Business Unit, PTT Public Company Limited, Ms.Supasachi Hongsinlark, Executive Vice President Planning and Risk Control, PTT Public Company Limited , Mr.Nakorn Tangavirapat , Director of Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization(TGO) alongside other prominent company stakeholders.
This alliance between PTT Public Company Limited and Green Aranya Company Limited intend to explore collaboration on promoting and facilitation the potential purchase,sale transactions and international transfer of carbon credits, particularly those derived from forest nature based solution projects. This cooperation has its objectives to support national and international greenhouse gases reduction and the sustainable development of local communities through job creation and environmental protection.
Under this framework of cooperation, PTT intends to promote carbon credits transactions uptake among its target clientele including PTT group and its subsidiaries and external global buyers. Concurrently, Green Aranya (GARY) will play a significant role in coordinate with the governments of Thailand and the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) to support bilateral discussions and the formal execution of an Implementing
Agreement under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement . By utilizing Internationally Transferred Mitigation Outcomes (ITMOs), the partnership seeks to catalyze the achievement of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) for both nations.
This partnership marks a pivotal milestone for both organization’s corporate visions of achieving net zero emissions target by 2050. Furthermore, This initiative serves as a cornerstone by cementing our steadfast commitment and unwavering dedication to long term environmental sustainability and global climate resilience.
