Projects Details






The forest parks in Phitsanulok province are managed by Phitsanulok Forest Industry Organization. There are a total of 5 forest parks:
1. Lam Kaew Noi River Basin Forest Project, Ban Dong Subdistrict, Chat Trakan District, Phitsanulok Province: Initiated in 2005, covering a total area of 4,929 rai and the average elevation of the area is 130 meters above sea level.
2. Nam Tak Forest Park, Ban Phrao Subdistrict, Thai District, Phitsanulok Province: Initiated in 1992 with a total area of 11,830.347 rai.
3. Yang Khao Forest Park, Wang Nok Aean Subdistrict, Wang Thong District, Phitsanulok Province: Covering a total area of 995 rai, the park is located on a hillside and was originally predominantly a mixed deciduous forest. With the elevation ranges between 200-700 meters above sea level.
4. Right Bank of Wang Thong River Forest Park, Kaeng So Pha Subdistrict, Wang Thong District, Phitsanulok Province: Covering a total area of 17,760 rai, the park is situated on a hillside and the original forest type was mixed deciduous. The elevation of the area ranges between 200-700 meters above sea level.
5. Lam Kaew Noi River Basin Forest Park, Ban Yang Subdistrict, Wat Bot District, Phitsanulok Province: Initiated in 2005 and covered a total area of 540 rai.
The project activities align with the eligible activities standard defined by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) in T-VER-S-METH-13-03. Proper management practices have been implemented, including creating wider firebreaks in steep areas, pruning to improve stem quality, thinning to reduce tree density, and patrolling to prevent and protect the forest from encroachment.
Remarks : No trees will be cut down within the project area for the entire 10-year duration of the project.
