What is a carbon credit?
Carbon credit is a certificate or permit that represent the action along with endeavor to decrease green house gas emission by those public individual or organization which will be represented per one metric ton of carbon dioxide (CO2) and can be trade on the carbon credit marketplace mainly by business and government who intend to offset their greenhouse gas emission footprint. These carbon credit mechanism by Kyoto protocol agreement are designed for reducing the overall greenhouse gases and to alleviate the climate change global issue and most importantly to procreate social responsibility to those developed countries who significantly are the largest emitter.

How we improve local’s livelihood
Chaleun Sekong carbon has implemented their endeavour to build learning center for the local communities around their forestry project areas for the purpose of cultivating awareness to the younger generation and local people to appreciate the value of their surrounded forestry resource and also to give them the opportunity to improve their livelihood by protecting the forest and increasing forestry area which is a legitimate occupation instead of trespassing, burning and vandalizing forest. With persistent and determined action, we have organically built environmental conscious communities and permanently change their way of life to live happily with their village woodlot contributing to economic-social development to the nation.
